Green Charter
Museum Salling gets visible proof
Museum Salling has become part of the Green Charter for Danish museums, which is an action-oriented community for green transition.
After several years of focusing on green transition throughout the organization, the physical locations and especially in the daily work, Museum Salling has received proof of our strategic efforts to incorporate sustainability.
We work with sustainability in different ways – internally in our exhibition dismantling and construction, energy consumption and staff training – and externally by involving our guests.
From strategy to action
Together with Museum Sønderjylland and others, Museum Salling has developed the Learning Portal. A portal that will make it easy and time-saving for museums working with development projects to move from sustainability strategy to action.
The Learning Portal provides:
- a common language about sustainability
- knowledge about the 4 bottom lines – cultural, social, environmental and economic
- insights from experts on why and how museums can make an important difference in the sustainable transition
- Inspiration for concrete sustainable initiatives
- A process model for development projects
- Working methods to help you strengthen your and your museum’s work with sustainability in development projects
- Link collection for more information
