55 million years of insect evolution in a unique Danish landscape: the fossil insects of the Moler area.
The 55-55.5 million year old molar is internationally the most important source of fossil insects from the period after the last great mass extinction about 66 million years ago and thus the most important source for understanding how this event affected the diversity of the undisputed most important animal group in terrestrial ecosystems.
