In spring 2024, Museum Salling has developed the following professional focus areas for the museum’s cultural history subject areas:
- Landscape resources and human use
- The landscape of power, e.g. castles and ramparts – especially Spøttrup Castle and the 16th century
- Popular movements such as the smallholding movement, Aakjær and the Radical Left
- The Limfjord landscape between fjord and land
