Museum Salling’s core values are based on Skive Municipality’s three values: Development, well-being and decency. These values underpin the museum’s management and personnel policy – both internally in the organization and externally in relation to collaborations. The museum must function optimally in order to be something for others. Therefore, it is crucial that the employees and their efforts are balanced and sustainably organized so that the museum can deliver value to its surroundings.
Museum Salling is an interdisciplinary and cross-functional organization that embraces the stories of the area defined as Skive Municipality. Museum Salling is an engaging and attractive partner for citizens and visitors in relation to education and discovery of the region’s past and present – and thereby contribute positively to Skive Municipality’s development.
Museum Salling will enrich the outside world with knowledge and lifelong learning based on conservation and a diversity of scholarship and in a diversity of learning processes ranging from academic research, professional analysis, formal, informal and non-formal learning forms to experience-based and inspiration-focused learning activities as well as in co-creation processes.
