Culture Week in Skive offers a fabulous program
Museum Salling is proud to present an exciting and varied program for Culture Week, which includes events both in the city and in the surrounding areas. One of the big news this year is the opening of a pop-up museum in the form of a Fabeldyrsbutik, which will be located in Nørregade 17. The shop will be a unique initiative where visitors can experience fascinating mythical creatures and creative installations and take part in creative workshops for all target groups. The whimsical airline will visit the schools. Our cultural mediators will be hosts during the week. We even have two exhibitions opening at Skive Museum during the week as well as creative workshops for the whole family like making mythical animal hats and drawing a mythical animal village.
A cozy community
We have a Senior Day – a day dedicated to our senior citizens where they can enjoy musical performances, cake and crafts. We encourage you to bring your crafts so you can do a little crafting over coffee with music to accompany your work. – You can also join us on an exciting city walk where we explore Skive’s history and hidden gems. The tour ends with coffee and cake at Fabeldyrsbutikken, where participants can enjoy a well-deserved break and see the shop’s beautiful decorations.
The fabulous animal shop
“The theme for our store is based on the project we have been working on for a long time in the Art & Culture Laboratory supported by the Culture Agreement. We are pleased with the new partnerships and new collaborations that the project has led to,” says Project Manager Anja Høegh.
The fabulous animal shop will be decorated by our skilled cultural mediators in collaboration with Karin Brydsø and students from Hem School’s middle school. The students are hard at work making decorations and objects for the shop, and visitors can look forward to seeing their imaginative and creative works.
We encourage everyone to check out the full program for Culture Week, which offers something for every taste and age group. It’s a great opportunity to experience the museum in a new way and join the community both at the museum, on Rådhustorvet and in the shop itself.
We look forward to welcoming both citizens and visitors to a week filled with cultural experiences and look forward to seeing you at Culture Week in Skive!
