“GEOGRAPHY OF POWER” IN SKIVE
Skive municipality has at least 18 largely unknown ramparts and 10 known fortified manor sites from the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
The sites are of very different types and in very different conditions – but what they all have in common is a lack of modern surveys and excavations, registration in databases and processing and dissemination to peers, citizens and tourists.
Museum Salling will work to achieve this.
In addition, the museum will collect and process other contemporary buildings and more invisible structures in selected areas (such as Spøttrup Castle). These include old traffic arteries, shipping points and destroyed facilities in the form of watermills, etc.
All in all, facilities that express the “Geography of Power”.
The project ends with a special exhibition at Spøttrup Borg and a publication.
