MUSEUM SALLING ARCHAEOLOGY moves to Rønbjerg

The relocation of MUSEUM SALLING’s archaeology department is currently in full swing, and very soon the department’s employees will join their colleagues in Rønbjerg, where MUSEUM SALLING has had its head office for several years. The move means that the archaeology department will be based closer to the administration, warehouse and a large part of the other employees.

“We look forward to being closer to our colleagues in Rønbjerg and finding it easier to spar with each other. Archaeology has long been located far away from our administration – and in addition to getting a closer everyday life with our colleagues from the other teams, we are also looking forward to being united with our collection in Rønbjerg,” says Kirstine Krath Helweg, Team Leader for Archaeology at MUSEUM SALLING.

In connection with the move, several new positions have been created, including a curator and several project-based field archaeologists.

Kirstine continues: “We are very busy with a lot of excavation projects, so we are looking for new colleagues who want to be an active part of our everyday life and tasks. The starting point for all the positions is that if you want to help shape your own job, have many balls in the air and work in a place where the days are not the same – then Museum Salling is a good place to work.”

Terkel Brannet, Curator of Archaeology at MUSEUM SALLING elaborates: “What I think is great about working at Museum Salling Archaeology is that you get to explore the archaeological world and try a lot of different things because we are a relatively small team. It’s both very educational and rewarding, and we’re good at helping each other across the board.”
